|The lights actually glows in the painting !!,
The glow is produced by LED bulbs at the backside. There is a switch on the side of the painting to turn on and off the lights. You will need 3 AA size batteries . I am not sure how long will they last. But with light turns on the painting really looks beautiful and adds extra decor to your room.
It can be great gift too. I definitely recommend this.
